Bachelor
Bachelor in Energy Systems Engineering and Energy Performance Management
Programme overview
Connect thermodynamics, electrical systems and energy data with engineering models and performance evaluation. Compare energy demand, conversion, storage and renewable integration. Advanced study develops coupled system simulation, energy audits and performance improvement projects.
Environnement & Industrie Durable Paris — Paris College of Environment and Sustainable Industry. Duration: 3 years.
Bachelor study progresses from foundations and guided exercises to integrated applied projects.
Study pathways
Energy systems modelling; building and industrial energy performance; renewable energy integration. All pathways share a common core. Indicate your preferred pathway when applying; actual availability is confirmed before admission.
Learning outcomes
Develop energy foundations skills in thermodynamics, electricity and conversion, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Develop system modelling skills in demand, equipment and interfaces, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Develop energy measurement skills in data collection and indicators, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Develop renewables and storage skills in integration and operational behaviour, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Develop performance evaluation skills in baseline, options and monitoring, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Develop engineering project skills in validated energy-system analysis, explaining methods, evidence and limitations.
Learning content and competency modules
| Module | Learning content | Assessment evidence |
| Energy foundations | Thermodynamics, electricity and conversion | Problem definition and reasoned analysis |
| System modelling | Demand, equipment and interfaces | Reproducible case or model documentation |
| Energy measurement | Data collection and indicators | Quality and traceability records |
| Renewables and storage | Integration and operational behaviour | Comparison of options and testing evidence |
| Performance evaluation | Baseline, options and monitoring | Project plan and collaboration records |
| Engineering project | Validated energy-system analysis | Integrated report and oral defence |
Study progression
Year 1: develop foundations, reading, analytical communication and guided cases.
Year 2: deepen specialist methods through pathway projects and evaluation of results.
Year 3: integrate methods in a final applied project, portfolio and oral defence.
Projects and practice
Model a building or industrial energy system and compare efficiency options.
Document the problem, working process, personal contribution, validation evidence and limitations. Individual contributions are assessed within team projects. Placements and external projects depend on actual arrangements.
Teaching and assessment
Theory, computational laboratories, system simulations, data workshops and project reviews use public, synthetic or authorised information. The programme focuses on scientific and civilian applications.
Assignments, case or laboratory work, staged projects and the final defence assess accuracy, methods, evidence quality, practical reliability and communication. Assessment weightings, reassessment and extension rules are published before teaching begins. Moodle may support resources, assignments, quizzes and feedback; specialist practical activities are assessed separately.
Entry requirements
Provide evidence of secondary education or equivalent study. Applicants should demonstrate mathematics and science foundations appropriate to the programme. MSc applicants should explain relevant environmental, engineering, energy or data study.
Submit education evidence, transcripts, a CV, a motivation statement and any requested project materials. Teaching language, language evidence and document-translation requirements are published for the intake. Website language does not determine teaching language.
Completion and institutional diploma
Complete the required modules and assessments, final project and oral defence. The programme leads to an institutional Bachelor diploma in Energy Systems Engineering and Energy Performance Management.
Career development
Energy analysis support; efficiency project support; energy monitoring. Employment depends on individual skills, experience and employer requirements. Regulated work requires the applicable qualifications and authorisations. Further study is assessed by the receiving institution.
Applications
